Our aim is to provide resources and support to help people of all ages learn about the natural hazards we face here in Western Australia (WA). Through ongoing education, we help WA to be a safer state.
Our education and heritage content is specifically tailored to support those wishing to help Western Australians of all ages develop a stronger understanding of hazards. Wherever and however emergencies arise, our best defence is for everyone to be as prepared as possible.
Our resources for teachers, parents and caregivers are designed to help children and young people stay safe before, during and after an emergency or disaster. We encourage families and schools to involve children in their emergency plans from a young age.
If a young person you know is misusing fire or you have cause for concern, there is help available.
The Juvenile and Family Fire Awareness Program offers one-to-one fire safety education for children and young people aged 6 to 16 years and their parents/carers.
